A pure Mountain man from the Devbhoomi of Himachal Pradesh, started his Music career with the band called “Silk Route” in 1996. ”Boondein” was their first album. This debut album became number one on the album charts and won several awards. The song ‘Dooba-Dooba’ from the album Boondein became a huge hit earning them recognition and first rendezvous with success in the realm of music.
Mohit’s career in Bollywood began in 2002, when he sang the song ‘Khoon Chala’ for the movie ‘Rang de Basanti’ under none other than the music maestro A.R. Rahman. His subsequent chartbusters included the songs ‘Tu Ne Jo Na kaha’ for the 2009 film New York, ‘Ye Dooriyan’ for Love Aaj Kal and ‘Pehli Baar Mohabbat ki hai’ for Kaminey. His songs from the movie Rockstar (2011 film) have become anthems and Indian music industry got a Real Rockstar.
